Personal data protection notice

As BOR 4 Makine Sanayi Ticaret Limited Şirketi ("Bor4"), we process the personal data you share through our website as the data controller under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"), as described below.
1. Data controller

2. Personal data we process
- Identity and contact: name, e-mail address, phone number, company name and job title, country and city.
- Request details: the messages you write in the contact, quote, service and feedback forms and the files you attach (mould, label or product information).
- Job applications: your CV and the education and work history you share in the application form.
- Newsletter: the e-mail address you give for the newsletter.
- Security: IP address, date and time of form submission and verification data used to prevent automated submissions.
3. Purposes
- Answering your information, quote and service requests, preparing quotations and managing contracts;
- Planning after-sales support, training and service;
- Evaluating job applications;
- Sending the newsletter and fair invitations if you request them;
- Keeping the website and its forms secure and preventing misuse;
- Meeting our legal obligations.
4. Legal grounds
Your data is processed under Article 5/2 of the KVKK on the grounds that processing is directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract (c), necessary to fulfil our legal obligations (ç), necessary to establish, exercise or protect a right (e), and necessary for our legitimate interests provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms (f). Where the newsletter or a transfer abroad requires explicit consent, we ask for it.
5. How data is collected
Data is collected by automated or partly automated means through the forms on our website and through electronic channels such as e-mail, phone and WhatsApp.
6. Transfers
Within the limits of the purposes above, your data may be shared with the suppliers of our website hosting and e-mail services, with our business partners and service providers to the extent needed to fulfil your request, and with authorised public bodies.
Transfers abroad
Some services used on our website are provided by companies based outside Türkiye. When they are used, some data may be transferred abroad:
- Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc.): IP address and browser information are processed to protect the forms and newsletter sign-up against automated submissions.
- Google Maps (Google LLC): when a map is loaded, your IP address and browser information are sent to Google.
- YouTube (Google LLC): when you play a video, it loads from youtube-nocookie.com and your IP address and browser information are sent to Google.
- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms): if you write to us via WhatsApp, your messages are processed on WhatsApp's infrastructure.
These transfers are carried out in line with Article 9 of the KVKK, on the basis of appropriate safeguards, standard contracts or, where required, your explicit consent.
7. Retention
Form records are kept for 2 years and job applications for 1 year; the newsletter subscription lasts until you unsubscribe. When the period ends or the reason for processing no longer exists, the data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised. Records subject to a statutory retention period are kept for that period.
8. Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed and to request information about it; to learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used accordingly; to know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred; to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; to request deletion or destruction under Article 7; to request that these actions be notified to the third parties to whom the data was transferred; to object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis; and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
9. How to apply
You can send requests about your rights in writing to our address above, or by e-mail to info@bor4.com.tr from an e-mail address registered with us, together with information that verifies your identity, in line with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller. Requests are answered free of charge within 30 days at the latest.
