The questions to ask when comparing quotes, from intervention time to spare-part distance.

10 questions to ask when choosing an IML robot
  • What is the mould intervention time in seconds, and at which cavity count was it measured?
  • Will the dry cycle be verified at FAT with my own mould?
  • Is the controller open-architecture; does the HMI offer recipes and step-by-step teaching?
  • How many minutes does a magazine cassette change take; are level and double-label checks included?
  • Can the static charging profile be adjusted to the label material?
  • How many minutes does a product changeover (EOAT + cassettes + recipe) take?
  • Euromap 67 or 12; who verifies compatibility with my existing machine?
  • Where is the spare-part warehouse; is a critical parts list delivered with the machine?
  • What is the on-site service response time; is remote access available?
  • Can cavities be increased or vision added later on the same frame?

The answers to these ten questions should be written in the quotation file. In Bor4 quotations each item appears on its own line together with the measurement method.

Let us review your application. Send your container dimensions, cavity count and machine details through the quote form and we will prepare an application analysis and a preliminary quote. You can also reach us via our contact page.
