Overview
In pail production, handle fitting is still done by hand at most plants and needs two operators per shift. The HA-Handle centres the warm pail from the mould on the conveyor, picks the handle from a vibratory feeder and snaps it into the lug holes with two servo arms; done in 4 seconds.
Interchangeable gripper set for plastic and metal handles; handle orientation and full seating are verified by sensor, and a faulty pail is diverted to the reject station. Runs in sync with the SE-650, managed from a single HMI.
