Retrofit and Overhaul

The mechanics of side-entry robots past ten years are usually sound; the problems are an ageing controller, unobtainable drives and a worn magazine. The retrofit programme keeps the frame; a KEBA controller and HMI, KeDrive servo drives, an LM magazine and ES-Charge charging are newly fitted.

The project starts with measurements on the existing machine and is completed in a 2-week workshop job or a 5-day site job. Before/after cycle and downtime measurements are reported; 24 months warranty after retrofit.

    On-site survey

    We measure the cycle, downtime and scrap of the existing robot and line.

    Retrofit scope and quote

    The scope is modular: control system only or the full package.

    Implementation

    The work takes 2 weeks in our workshop or 5 days on site.

    Acceptance and training

    Before/after measurements are reported and 1 day of training on the new HMI is given.

Remote intervention starts within 8 hours on Silver and 4 hours on Gold; on-site arrival is within 48 hours on Silver and 24 hours on Gold. On Bronze and without a contract, site visits are scheduled according to availability.

Yes. Our team handles dismantling, transport coordination, adaptation to the new machine and re-commissioning; dismantling takes 1 day and installation at the new location 2–3 days.
