Lids and Cups

Close to 2-second cycles on unlabelled lids, 2.4–2.6 s on IML lids, full-wrap labels on cups; labelled and unlabelled production on the same line.

Lids and Cups

Lid moulds with 8–16 cavities demand the highest volumes and shortest cycles; most lids are unlabelled, but IML brand labels are replacing pad printing. On cups, the full-wrap label and conical geometry drive EOAT design.

The TO-Side runs unlabelled lids and cups with 0.7 s intervention and a 1.9 s dry cycle; when IML is required, the SE-250/SE-450 places lid and full-wrap labels on the same line, with typical IML lid cycles of 2.4–2.6 s. The TO-Side can later be upgraded to SE level with the IML kit.

Challenges

  • Take-out reliability at cycles close to 2 seconds
  • Wrapping a full-wrap label on a conical cup without seam overlap
  • Switching between labelled and unlabelled products on one line
  • Gripper and vacuum distribution for up to 16 cavities

The Bor4 solution

  • TO-Side: light single-sided plate, 0.7 s intervention
  • Servo wrist 90°/180° brings the cup core square to the mould
  • IML upgrade kit: magazine bay + ES-Charge + VG-EOAT
  • Vacuum circuit per cavity, channels inside the plate

Frequently asked questions

With any machine that has a Euromap 67 interface: Haitian, Yizumi, KraussMaffei, Engel, Arburg, Netstal, Sumitomo Demag, Borche and others. We offer a converter cable set for Euromap 12.

The time from the mould "open" signal to the robot's "mould area free" signal; measured at FAT with the customer's mould and cavity count and recorded.

Under 30 minutes if the quick-connect EOAT and cassette set are ready; the recipe is recalled from the HMI and magazine guides adjust by motor.

Robots 6–12 weeks: SE-Compact and TO-Side 6–8, SE-250 and SE-450 8–10, SE-650 and SE-Twin 10–12 weeks. Equipment and downstream units 2–10 weeks, a turnkey line 12–16 weeks. Each model's lead time is shown on its page.

Yes. The LM-4/LM-8 and ES-Charge come with their own control board and connect to any robot brand via digital I/O or EtherCAT.

The SE-Twin serves both parting lines of 2×6 and 2×8 cavity stack moulds in a single entry with its double-sided vertical plate.
